You will have the practical experience to obtain employment as a massage therapist in a number of healthcare settings, including medical and rehabilitation clinics, hospitals, and doctors’ and chiropractors’ offices. Opportunities also exist in health spas, hotels, fitness centers, sports organizations, tourist destinations, and cruise ships. There is the possibility of going into private practice as well.
Employment is expected to steadily grow over the next few years. There will be an increased demand for massage services for management of pain and prevention of physical disabilities from injury or disease.
