Transcending the Speed of Light: Consciousness, Quantum Physics, & the Fifth Dimension
In Transcending the Speed of Light, Marc Seifer brings together mind and matter explaining their cohabitation in the world with scientific theory.
This book is like no other I’ve read.
This combination of what many intuitively feel and know to be true – consciousness of the mind and its role in the physical world – is geniously explored and explained in Transcending the Speed of Light in a way no author before has.
Seifer’s approach is different than others in that it uses both scientific explanations and theory as well as intuition based thought throughout the book to explain what is considered the unexplainable.
Marc Seifer’s Extensive Background
Seifer’s background in exploring consciousness is extensive. He has his bachelor of science degree from the University of Rhode Island, his master’s in psychology from the University of Chicago, and earned his doctorate in psychology from Saybrook University where he began working with Stanley Krippner.
He has lectured across the world, written numerous articles and books, appeared on radio shows, the History Channel, AP International TV News, and worked as a consultant for Biography, 60 Minutes, and The American Experience.
A look at Seifer’s background reveals his true calling to be in this field and you can see he’s dedicated his career and much of his life to it.
Explanations to Difficult to Grasp Topics
I must admit at first glance this book was a bit daunting for me.
The title, Transcending the Speed of Light intrigued me but the subtitle; Consciousness, Quantum Physics, and the Fifth Dimension slightly intimidated me.
I mean, Quantum Physics; I struggled through college chemistry (with the help of my chemical engineer friends), I’m an artist and anything too scientific I immediately meet with apprehension – this was the same with this book.
However, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.
At first I had to adjust to the words and writing, but that can be true with any new book or author. After a few pages I began to understand the terminology and get into the flow of Seifer’s writing style.
Once this flow began I became increasingly interested in what he was saying and explaining. I found myself much farther along in the book in a shorter amount of time than I had imagined.
I was also unwilling to put the book down. I kept reading wanting to know more and was excited to be understanding in fact what before I only knew in my heart.
A Sneak Peak into Transcending the Speed of Light
In Transcending the Speed of Light’s 14 chapters, and almost 350 pages, Seifer talks about cosmic law and the four universal principles of electromagnetism, gravity, and strong and weak nuclear force.
He also explores the three basic levels of the mind; physical, biological, and psychospiritual levels.
This book intrigues the intellect while stimulating the spirit. The rational mind begins to believe and understand what the spirit has known all along to be true; that mind and matter are intricately connected and have been since the beginning.
I really like how Marc Seifer blends the scientific world theory and principles with the concept of consciousness thus leading to the Fifth Dimension.
The enormous amount of research presented in Transcending the Speed of Light is thorough, detailed, and informative.
I recommend this book to those who are looking for a more factual, scientific understanding of consciousness and how it exists and expresses in the physical world. This book gives an incredible, ‘ah-hah’ understanding of the universe and our existence with consciousness in it.
