Positive Affirmation: Light Permeates My Being And My Life
There are many definitions for “Light” in spirituality and metaphysics, and for the purpose of creating a positive state, all of them are great. Some terms to describe a spiritual light are; goodness, rightness, clarity, morality, peace, God/dess, Christ and many others. When we uninhibitedly open ourselves to this light, amazing things can happen. Primarily, the parts of ourselves and our lives which we’ve kept hidden in the dark, are exposed.
If we’re sincerely interested in peace of mind and a good attitude, it’s necessary that sooner or later, we expose ourselves and our lives to the light of Truth. Making a conscious choice to experience only good in our lives, involves opening ourselves to our dark side in order to release it. The secrets, the compromises in integrity and the fears we’ve chosen not to look at, all require inspection. How else to have a clear conscience? And without a clear conscience how do we achieve peace of mind?
This is why the technique is so powerful. When an honest choice is made to bring our darknesses into the light, transformation of our lives occurs. Naturally, this requires some faith in the healing power and rightness of the light. If we’re looking for a true spiritual experience, then it’s necessary to have faith in the spirituality we’re aiming for. Lip service alone doesn’t make for transformation, only a sincere desire to improve the condition of our being.
Real inner peace comes when we needn’t be suspicious of ourselves, but can achieve inner trust. Until we’re willing to bring all facets of ourselves into play, acknowledging that each has it’s place in the light, that suspicion still exists. When we can let ourselves become visible and clear out the darkness, our self-esteem rises and looking at ourselves in the mirror becomes much easier.
Positive Attitude Quote:
“You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It’s just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.”
–Paulo Coelho, author of The Alchemist
