The Laws of Thinking: 20 Secrets to Using the Divine Power of Your Mind to Manifest Prosperity
By Mike Kay
Bishop E. Bernard Jordan has many answers for the skeptics in “The Laws of Thinking: 20 Secrets to Using the Divine Power of Your Mind to Manifest Prosperity”. Some will condemn him for promoting capitalism but his reasoning is simple. How can you really help the poor in the world if you are poor yourself? How can you help to heal the sick if you have no resources?
Jordan’s premise is that every great success started with a thought. Given that thinking is God’s gift to us; he asks if we are all using our thinking properly and constructively. The Bishop uses extracts from the bible to illustrate how wasteful most of us can be with our ability to become prosperous. Do we all “plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land” or are we mostly guilty of giving up after planting one seed.
For the non-religious this book is a breath of fresh air. Jordan’s style is not preachy as you might expect. He is a straight talker and his writing connects. He has a talent for really making you think. I was amazed how some of the simple Biblical metaphors were transformed to make absolute sense to my own situation. Why do some projects work well and others fall flat? The answers are blindingly simple. I’m not using my thinking skill consistently and I’m leaving too much to chance.
In “The Laws of Thinking: 20 Secrets to Using the Divine Power of Your Mind to Manifest Prosperity”, Bishop E. Bernard Jordan shares unselfishly the key to the human condition.
